Thursday Review: It's National Ice Cream Month
July is National Ice Cream Month. Isn't this the perfect time? What could be better than ice cream to beat the summer heat?
An average of 48 pints of ice cream per person per year is eaten in the U.S., which has the highest consumption of ice cream of any country.
It takes approximately 50 licks to finish a scoop of ice cream.
More ice cream is sold on Sunday than any other day of the week.
To learn everything you ever wanted to know about ice cream, including its history, the history of the cone, the most popular flavors in America and A Month of Sundaes--suggestions for an ice cream treat every day in July, visit www.homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/julieann/ice_cream

Just 50 licks to finish off an ice cream? How does that work for greedy people who bite into theirs? That would be me :-)
These look irresistible - just as well they're not the real thing or they would be gone from the page!
Wow...somebody is having fun eating my share! Even though I love it, I rarely eat it. Just never think about it, but man, did that scoop look good on your page. I may have to change my ways.
Mmmmm. You made me hungry. I may need to leave the laptop and go to the grocery store now. After all, it's Sunday.
